Artistic photography introducing new licensed characters through mood and storytelling.
This body of work was created to support the launch of newly licensed Squishmallows characters, translating iconic worlds into a softer, more approachable visual language. Drawing from properties such as Harry Potter from Warner Bros., Stranger Things from Netflix, and Gremlins from Warner Bros., the photography reinterpreted familiar themes, emotions, and atmospheres through Squishmallows’ distinct point of view.
Rather than relying on lifestyle scenes, the work centered on small, intentionally built sets designed to capture the tone and energy of each license. Lighting, styling, and composition were carefully controlled to evoke the spirit of each world while keeping the characters playful and recognizable. Nitta led creative direction, set design, photography, and post production, delivering a series of artistic launch assets used to introduce new Squishmallows licenses for the first time.
